Golden Heart Note rolls off the press at Royal Joh. Enschedé
On Thursday morning, the first Golden Heart Banknote rolled off the press at Koninklijke Joh. Enschedé. With the Golden Heart Banknote, already nicknamed Haarlems Veertigje, caregivers who have received a banknote thanks to donations at Heel Haarlem Helpt can pay at small entrepreneurs in Haarlem. The note has the security features and meets the requirements of a real banknote. Since 2016, when the company stopped printing Euro notes, this is Koninklijke Joh. Enschedé’s first note with which the recipient can pay at a Haarlem participating shop, catering establishment or salon. To provide all Haarlem caregivers with a Golden Heart Banknote, the call to donate via Heel Haarlem Helpt remains. By doing so, Haarlemmers show that they have a warm heart of gold for their care providers. They get the Golden Heart Ticket they deserve and help Haarlem entrepreneurs in the process.
Royal Joh. Enschedé immediately supported the initiative and is supplying the Golden Heart Notes free of charge. Gelmer Leibbrandt, CEO of the Haarlem-based company founded in 1703: “When we were approached about this initiative to print unfakeable vouchers, we offered to design and produce a real banknote for this wonderful and sympathetic campaign. With more than 200 years of experience in printing banknotes, from the Frans Hals tenner to the Sunflower and the Lighthouse, this was right up our alley. Our partners also contributed selflessly. ” The authenticity of the banknote is of great importance because it prevents easy counterfeits from entering circulation.
The Heel Haarlem Helpt corporate identity was designed by Paul Pilon of Paul & Floyd Design Studio. This was the basis for the “Haarlems Veertigje” designed by Nienke Uijtendaal. This used various techniques such as microtext, watermark and foil printing. The numbered notes will feature Augmented Reality for which the software is now being created by the Bossche company WijDoenDingen.
Status of the case
Meanwhile, nearly €13,500 has been donated by Haarlem individuals and €10,000 by Haarlem funds. In addition, another €10,000 has been pledged by the J.C. Ruigrok Foundation. A nice pledge also arrived today from the Rabobank Cooperative Emergency Fund. Eighty entrepreneurs have signed up so far. As of this week, 65 advertising pillars (MUPIs) throughout the city have been fitted with posters, the appeal can be seen in all Connexxion buses and the website is getting hundreds of visitors.
Golden Heart Action: one donation campaign, two charities!
Main goal; to put caregivers in the limelight and to give entrepreneurs a helping hand. Not only with attention, but also with a gesture. From the money donated by Haarlem citizens, the care provider will receive a Golden Heart Ticket. This can be spent at a participating small Haarlem entrepreneur. This way, we can make a lot of care providers happy and the Haarlem economy will get a nice boost. A small gesture from a big heart with maximum results!
Small Haarlem entrepreneurs who have seen their turnover fall sharply due to (partly) closing their business can apply for the Golden Heart Action. Only together can we help Haarlem get through the crisis. There are no costs for entrepreneurs to participate. Nor are they asked to give discounts.
The Golden Heart Action Heel Haarlem Helps starts for all employees of the Spaarne Gasthuis. Our ambition is to expand the action for all other care providers in Haarlem. The more Haarlem residents, entrepreneurs and funds donate, the more care providers we can surprise.
Haarlem citizens who also have a heart of gold for healthcare providers and entrepreneurs are urged to donate. In this way, as many caregivers as possible can get the well-deserved Golden Heart Ticket and in doing so, we also help Haarlem entrepreneurs.
